Bridging public institutions and community trust.
From Community Disconnection to Civic Participation:
FHG Helps Governments Build Trust That Lasts
We bridge the gap between intention and engagement—equipping government agencies
to build trust, increase public participation, and deliver outcomes that last.
At FHG, we’ve worked alongside government departments—each rooted in a unique local context, yet often grappling with the same core frustrations:
Public meetings are sparsely attended—or dominated by the same few voices.
Residents don’t trust your intentions, despite your best efforts
Engagement initiatives fall flat with youth or other underrepresented groups
Many agencies want to build trust and increase participation, but continue to face real barriers: historical distrust, hard-to-reach populations, and outdated outreach models.
These challenges don’t signal failure—they signal the need for a new approach.
We helped governments transform frustration into forward momentum
with context-specific strategy and support.
Together, we can turn community skepticism into shared solutions that last—moving from community outreach to community ownership that strengthens civic participation and builds trust.
Turn Community Engagement Into Public Impact
Findlay House Global (FHG) understands the nuances of public sector operations. We partner with municipalities, state agencies, and national governments to bridge the gap between intention and participation. Whether your challenge is low public trust, stalled initiatives, or hard-to-reach populations—we help you design strategies that connect, engage, and deliver.
People- Centered Planning
Align public programs with the insights, needs, and lived realities of your constituents.
We ensure your strategies start where people are—not where you think they’ll be. Using participatory research, lived experience data, and human-centered design principles, we help government teams develop policies, programs, and services that reflect the felt needs, barriers, and hopes of the communities they serve. The result: initiatives with built-in relevance and stronger local alignment from day one.
Strategic Communication
Use the right data to make the right decisions—with communities in mind.
We help government teams translate complex data into actionable insights—combining community input with demographic trends, health indicators, and engagement metrics. From needs assessments and behavior surveys to real-time dashboards and equity audits, our tools equip you to respond to what communities are saying and what the data shows. The result: smarter resource allocation, greater public trust, and measurable impact.
Build Confidence & Capability
Strengthen relational trust and operational readiness of your government teams.
We build trust in institutions by working at the speed of relationship. That means equipping public servants with the tools to lead; facilitating safe, respectful spaces for dialogue; improving cross-agency coordination, and building cross-sector alignment. Whether you're navigating public skepticism, resource constraints, or unclear policy rollout—we equip you to engage confidently, act collaboratively, and effectively deliver community services.
Data-Driven
Decision Support
Elevate transparency, manage narratives, and build lasting legitimacy.
Effective public service requires strong, clear communication. We help agencies simplify messages, increase accessibility, and proactively shape public understanding.
We equip your staff to handle difficult topics with clarity, cultural fluency, and transparency.
From outreach toolkits to narrative frameworks and media-ready messaging, we ensure your communications drive engagement—not confusion.
It’s Already Working—in Communities Like Yours
We’ve helped municipalities across the U.S. shift from low participation and public frustration to collaborative, people-powered results.

Barriers to communication and underrepresentation
in civic decision-making
FHG’s Role
Co-developed and facilitated the O.U.R. Asheville Academy—a culturally grounded civic leadership program that trained underrepresented residents to become “Community Connectors.” FHG led co-design workshops with City staff, created a trauma-informed, culturally relevant curriculum, and supported canvassing, facilitation, and community-led evaluation.
Outcome
All participants completed the program and reported high satisfaction. Graduates were contracted by the City to lead public engagement efforts—including during Hurricane Helene recovery. The program built a sustainable pipeline of diverse community leaders actively shaping local governance.
The Proof is in the People
